FASHION REVOLUTION WEEK DC (APRIL 24-27, 2018)
Join us for Fashion Revolution Week on the 5th anniversary of the Rana Plaza collapse in Bangladesh. Fashion Revolution Week is Fashion Revolution’s #whomademyclothes? campaign in April, which falls on the anniversary of the Rana Plaza factory collapse, which killed 1138 people and injured many more on 24th April 2013. During this week, brands and producers are encouraged to respond with the hashtag #imadeyourclothes and to demonstrate transparency in their supply chain.
We will be screening the True Cost documentary, directed by Andrew Morgan. This documentary is a groundbreaking documentary film that pulls back the curtain on the untold story and asks us to consider, who really pays the price for our clothing? Filmed in countries all over the world, from the brightest runways to the darkest slums, and featuring interviews with the world’s leading influencers including Stella McCartney, Livia Firth and Vandana Shiva, The True Cost is an unprecedented project that invites us on an eye opening journey around the world and into the lives of the many people and places behind our clothes.
