FASHION REVOLUTION WEEK DC (APRIL 24-27, 2018)
Join us for Fashion Revolution Week on the 5th anniversary of the Rana Plaza collapse in Bangladesh. Fashion Revolution Week is Fashion Revolution’s #whomademyclothes? campaign in April, which falls on the anniversary of the Rana Plaza factory collapse, which killed 1138 people and injured many more on 24th April 2013. During this week, brands and producers are encouraged to respond with the hashtag #imadeyourclothes and to demonstrate transparency in their supply chain.
We will be screening the RiverBlue documentary, directed by David McIlvride and Roger Williams. RiverBlue follows river advocate Mark Angelo on a journey through some of the world’s most beautiful to most polluted rivers. A documentary that poses the question, “How dirty are your jeans?” RiverBlue uncovers how the fashion industry plays part in destroying our world’s rivers.
